Reškutėnai Church of St. Isidore

In 1924, the residents applied to the bishop, asking him to recognise the chapel as a public building, to consecrate it and give permission to say public service in it. On May 18th, 1924, the chapel was consecrated. The church, which is a larger country-style chapel, has forms of folk architecture and resembles a traditional residential house with a three-wall apse, low side vestry, lobby and a tower. Only one altar – the great altar. A copy of the Sacred Mother of God from the Gate of Dawn in Vilnius hangs in the centre of the altar. There is a wooden bell tower in the churchyard.
