The educational trail is located on a peninsula – a narrow strip of land, washed by water on both sides. The 8 km route is full of wonderful views. In places, Ščiūrys Horn narrows, so you can see the waters of Baltieji and Juodieji Lakajai lakes, which meet at the end of the peninsula. A real natural diamond can also be called the extraordinarily beautiful peninsula located here – Cibaragis. The natural heritage object growing at the beginning of the peninsula – the double-trunk pine tree – also gives Ščiūrys Horn its uniqueness.
The Ščiūrys Horn educational trail is like an introduction to the spirit of Labanoras Forest – Lakaja. The stands of this educational trail are designed to be interesting not only for adults, but also for children. The trail has interactive technical solutions, so it will be interesting for the whole family.
In order to ensure the protection of the landscape and biodiversity, access to the peninsula by car is restricted. There is a parking place at the beginning of the route. Not all 8 km of the trail is suitable for cycling or strollers, but from the parking to the farthest point you can travel along forest paths. Nevertheless, Ščiurys Horn is a great place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature.
